Consensus clinical guidance for diagnosis and management of adult COVID-19 encephalopathy

Encephalopathy is common among patients hospitalised with COVID-19. Produced by the Global Neuro Research Coalition, this in-depth review presents analysis of evidence for the definition, epidemiology, and pathophysiology of COVID-19 encephalopathy and practical guidance for clinical assessment, investigation, and both acute and long-term management.

See Figure 2 taken from the main guidance. This flowchart acts as an algorithm for the diagnosis and management for adult patients with encephalopathy due to COVID-19.
