Garden tours
Join a free guided walk around the gardens on the second and third Saturdays of each month.
The walks, suitable for aged 16 or above, are designed to give a captivating introduction to the gardens, sharing some of the science and history of Ness.
Join our expert garden guides as they lead you through some of the mesmerising landscapes at Ness, unveiling the hidden stories and seasonal wonders that make each visit unique.
Dates and times
Each walk starts at 11am, meeting outside the garden entrance of the Visitor Centre, and lasts approximately one hour. Upcoming dates include:

How to book
The tour is included in entry to the gardens, however places are limited to 16 per tour, so booking is essential.

Private guided tours
In addition to our free garden tours, we also offer the option of a private guided tour to make a visit to Ness all the more memorable.
Providing a captivating introduction to the gardens, you'll learn about its science and history dating and discover a variety of seasonal wonders in your own private group.
- Private tours start from outside the Visitor Centre and last approximately 60-90 minutes
- There's an additional charge of £75 per guide
- There are no minimum numbers required to book a private tour, although we do recommend a maximum number of 20 people per guide. Larger groups will need to book additional guides.
