Volunteering

Our volunteers are a valuable part of our team and help make Ness Botanic Gardens as spectacular as they are.

Whether helping to maintain the garden and plant collections, supporting our education team or making sure our visitors have a great day out, there are plenty of ways to get involved.

Recruitment is carried out when placements become available. We aim to provide the right placement for each volunteer and provide opportunities for a diverse range of people.

Practical support volunteer  

Our Learning and Engagement team run a range of family activities and events throughout the year. An education practical support volunteer will help with the set up and preparation of these events.  If you are interested in carpentry, happy to work at height and enjoy practical tasks outdoors this could be the volunteer opportunity for you.
