Whether helping to maintain the garden and plant collections, supporting our education team or making sure our visitors have a great day out, there are plenty of ways to get involved.
Recruitment is carried out when placements become available. We aim to provide the right placement for each volunteer and provide opportunities for a diverse range of people.

Little acorns Volunteer
Our Little acorns volunteers support the running of our outdoor pre-school programme. We are looking for volunteers to support on a Thursday morning.

Garden volunteer
Garden volunteers support garden staff through undertaking a variety of tasks including weeding, pruning and planting. New volunteers must be prepared to work one regular day per week (9am - 3pm) on either Tuesday, Wednesday or Thursday.
Ranger volunteer
This role involves tending to the wooded, informal areas of the garden and involves light machinery work, hedge cutting and tree maintenance.
