Music Scholarships and Bursaries
The Department of Music is pleased to be able to offer the following scholarships and bursaries to UK applicants to master’s programmes:
The Rushworth Scholarship
Each academic year, the gift will fund up to two scholarships of £3,000 for a Home/UK student progressing onto the MA Music Management programme. The Rushworth Scholarship takes the form of a £3,000 overall fee reduction for each successful candidate.
The Sarah Barrow Bursary
The Sarah Barrow Bursary in Music is to be supportive of postgraduate Home/UK students for whom the cost of continuing onto postgraduate study would be prohibitive. Each academic year, the gift will fund one needs-based bursary of £6,000 for a Home/UK student progressing onto the MMus Music Performance and Education.
The Martha Vidor Scholarship for Composition
In each academic year, one scholarship will be made available to a UK student progressing to composition studies through the MRes Music. The scholarship takes the form of a full fee waiver to the value of the UK tuition fee.
The Martha Vidor Scholarship for Music and Audiovisual Media
In each academic year, one scholarship will be made available to a UK student progressing to the MA Music and Audiovisual Media programme. The scholarship takes the form of a partial tuition fee reduction, worth £5,000.
International Students
International applicants may be eligible for one of the University’s Global Advancement Scholarships, worth up to £5,000.
University of Liverpool graduates
University of Liverpool graduates who apply for a master’s course may be eligible for a tuition fee discount worth up to £3,000:
- Postgraduate Opportunity Bursary (UK students)
- Graduate Loyalty Advancement Scholarship (UK and International)
Please note that in most circumstances it is not possible to hold two scholarships or bursaries concurrently.
