Blackpool Teaching hospital provides services across the Fylde coast, Lancashire and south Cumbria, area that is home to 1.6 million people. A range of hospital services is provided to the 352,000 people living on the Fylde coast and the estimated 18 million visitors who visit each year. The Trust offers community health services to 445,000 residents of Blackpool, Fylde, Wyre and north Lancashire. We also provide specialist regional care for cardiac and haematology patients.

Clinical skills provision
- Purpose built clinical skills and simulation centre.
- Offers open access Monday to Friday, 8am-5pm to its learning zone, which also has Zappa App forms available.
- Provides a dedicated simulation program for fourth year medical students focusing on A to E, managing an unwell/deteriorating patient and human factors, and provides all necessary clinical skills, training and revision sessions for all our students.
- Provides a bespoke simulation programme for fifth year students designed to prepare students for their foundation year.
