Wellbeing support during COVID-19

Published on

We know this may be a particularly difficult time for some of you, as we drastically adapt our lives, and many of you will be seeing fewer people than normal, especially loved ones.

We want to remind all our student doctors that as a School, we are dedicated to looking out for you, and just because we are no based under one roof at Cedar House anymore, it doesn’t mean we aren’t here for you!

There is always somebody available to listen - even if it is just for a general chat.

As the University campus closes, the service will now be accessed through our online booking system or via telephone appointments.

  • If you already have an appointment booked this will now be held by phone or email. We will be in touch to let you know how this will work early next week.
  • If you are already in touch with the service we will continue to check in with you and all your upcoming appointments will be held online or by phone.
  • Any student in any year who would like to speak to us for help, advice or support should contact the team and make an appointment.

You can contact the Wellbeing team to make an appointment by email, online, or by phone.

One of the above wellbeing contact numbers will be available 10am-4om (GMT) Monday to Friday. Outside of these hours please leave a message, and we will get back to you as soon as we can.

We also recognise that the current disruption to all of our personal and professional lives is significant.  In these times, it is important we all look out for each other, as staff-student body.

Don’t be afraid to pick up the phone, connect and chat with friends, colleagues and staff.

You can always view the latest advice and current resources relating to COVID-19 on the welllbeing support page.

In addition, The University of Liverpool has partnered with mental fitness app Fika during COVID-19 to give all students access to an additional tool to stay motivated, productive, focused and connected during this period of remote work and study. Find out more about Fika.

Take care, and don't hesitate to get in touch.
