Geometry and Topology

Within the dynamic landscape of mathematical inquiry, the geometry and topology group stands as a bastion of innovation and interdisciplinary collaboration. Rooted in the intricate interplay between abstract geometry and tangible applications, this group traverses the realms of computer vision and robotics with precision and ingenuity.

The geometry and topology group incorporates computer vision and robotics. Activities include classification of singularities, algebraic curve singularities, and the use of singularity theory to solve problems in differential geometry, computer vision and psychophysics.

The Singsurf Package was written by Richard Morris, a former member of the group, and is used extensively in research.
