Multi-scale systems in healthcare problems

Theme leads

The theme aims to develop new/improved approaches to modelling systems that span multiple temporal and/or spatial scales

genes → cells → tissues →organs → whole body/individual → population.

Though multiscale approaches may have broad relevance across the Healthcare Technologies,  we focus on three projects.

Project 1- Fatigue damage for stents in blood vessels

Project 2 - Predictions of drug toxicity

Project 3- Multi-scale modelling of a human eye

Modeling stent-vessel interaction

Fatigue damage for stents in blood vessels

Cells agglomerated to a sphere

Predictions of drug toxicity

Modeling tissues of the eye
