Actuarial Teachers’ & Researchers’ Conference 2019
ATRC 2019 (27th-28th June 2019)
The Institute for Financial and Actuarial Mathematics (IFAM) at the University of Liverpool is pleased to host the 2019 Actuarial Teachers’ and Researchers’ Conference from 27-28 June 2019. This annual two-day event has been running annually now for many years, each time hosted by a different university, and provides all those interested in actuarial research and education a great opportunity to share their ideas and catch up on the latest developments.
The Actuarial Teachers' and Researchers' conference is the only actuarial conference with a research and education focus in the UK which is truly cross-practice and open to all. The theme of ATRC 2019 will be Investment and Actuarial Implications. Under the low interest rate environment, investment poses several challenges for actuaries, policy-makers, regulators and other stakeholders.
Who should attend?
This event is important to all those in both academia and industry with an interest in actuarial research and education (in their broadest interpretation), including those from outside the actuarial profession. The conference, with its relaxed and informal atmosphere, has often produced vigorous but open debates, and is an excellent opportunity for all those interested in influencing the future direction on research and education to get involved.
Why attend?
The conference will provide a forum for the exchange of information on the latest relevant research (both academic and practitioner) and educational principles and strategy. With the expansion in universities offering actuarial science programmes and the current heightened interest in many areas of actuarial research, we are looking forward to a vibrant and successful event.
