Visitor car parking
If you're arriving by car, we have several options for parking on or near campus. Our two on-campus visitor car parks are located at Brownlow Street and Mount Pleasant (opposite the Catholic Cathedral).
Please see the Campus map (PDF) for visitor car park locations.
The visitor car parks are pay on exit car parks. You will receive a ticket at the barrier upon entrance to the car park, and you can pay at the pay station when you are ready to leave.
Pay stations accept various methods of payment including card, notes and coins. However, we do advise that you have the correct money to avoid any delays.
The charge tariff for your visit will be as follows:
Peak (Weekdays from 7.30am until 5.30pm)
- Up to 1 hour - £2.00
- Up to 2 hours - £3.00
- Up to 3 hours – £4.00

Civil Parking Notice Scheme
The University operates a civil parking notice scheme across all car parks on campus. Regulations are displayed on entry to each car park and red warning signs indicate ticketing is in operation.
Off-Campus visitor car parking
Visitors can also use the City Council car park found at the bottom of Mount Pleasant towards the city centre.
Open Day car parking
