When you join us here at the University of Liverpool Management School (ULMS), you will have access to a specialist careers team to support you on your career journey. Our goal is to develop MSc students into enlightened and career-focused postgraduates. We're excited to welcome you soon and can't wait to help you grow your career!  

Who are we?

In addition to the University’s central Careers and Employability Service, ULMS MSc students also have access to their own dedicated careers team.

Sadie Lawty

Committed to supporting students on their career journey, Sadie is passionate about empowering students to proactively manage their network, career journeys and personal brand.

Sadie offers individualised one-to-one career guidance appointments where students can explore their career plans and receive feedback on a wide range of subjects - from LinkedIn profiles to interview techniques.

Along with the rest of the PGT careers team, Sadie teaches career topics such as CVs, networking, MBTI and personal branding.


Jan Logan
MSc Careers Consultant

Jan LoganJan is a qualified Careers Adviser and has worked in University Careers and Employability services for more than 20 years.

Jan works with our MSc students in the Management School and offers personalised, one-to-one careers guidance appointments for students to help explore and plan their career options.

Together with her colleagues in the PGT careers team, Jan develops and delivers workshops and seminars on a wide range of careers topics such as Networking, Careers Planning, CVs, Applications, Assessment Centres, Interview Preparation, MBTI and Developing Resilience – to name a few!

Sabaet Campbell

Sabaet is a qualified careers professional and developmental coach and experience in working with international students in the UK and understands the challenges as well as opportunities international students face in their career planning.

Sabaet is dedicated to working with MSc students and offers one-to-one career appointments to guide and coach students through exploring their options and taking the next steps in achieving their career goals.

Sabaet also leads the ULMS MSc career mentoring programme where she facilitates current students to connect with global alumni and professionals to expand their network and gain valuable insights into the labour market.

Stuart NichollsStuart is a qualified Careers Adviser, experienced in Educational Careers Services for more than 25 years.

Stuart liaises with our MSc students in the Management School and offers individual, one-to-one information appointments for international students to help explore employability options and recognises the challenges international students face during their employment journey.

Together with his colleagues in the PGT careers team, Stuart develops and presents activities and projects covering a range of careers & employability-related themes such as Networking, CVs, Master's Consultancy Challenge, Applications, Assessment Centres, Interview Preparation, and Job Search.


Anthony Hayes
Postgraduate Employability Coordinator

Anthony HayesAnthony is a skilled coordinator with more than 20 years of administrative and data input experience in education and other large industries.  

Anthony ensures the team have access to the support they need to ensure MSc careers events and activities run smoothly. Each week, Anthony helps the team with event promotion, facilitation, evaluation and data analytics.

Additionally, Anthony ensures the Employability Team Leader and senior colleagues can access important information and data that outlines the impact we have through the support we offer.


Our combined global and UK market knowledge and employability expertise will help uplift you through tailored advice, workshops, sessions, one-to-one appointments and employability-enhancing programmes such as Leaders of Tomorrow and our ‘We Can Work It Out’ Consultancy Challenge.

Dedicated careers week events

During your study, there will be dedicated weeks for you to start working on your career planning. You will have access to sessions delivered by external experts and the careers team. The sessions aim to equip you to Explore, Plan and Action your career and develop your employability skills.

How can I start preparing?

Whilst every career journey is unique, getting started as early as possible is always a good idea. Our team has invested in you – we have multiple employability platforms exclusively available to ULMS students.

We’ve made career planning accessible and easy for all our students. Prior to starting with us, we recommend that you use our Career Farm Masters Maximiser.  This short video will introduce you to the course:

International students

If you're an international student who will be studying with us here at ULMS, you may find it useful to use  Prepare2GetAhead, available in both English and Mandarin. Studying here in the UK will provide you with not only knowledge but a range of experiences and opportunities.

Whether you're considering starting your graduate career in the UK or your home country, it's always good to give yourself a head start! By completing a series of exercises and activities you will be able to explore development resources helping understand your goals and strengths in an easy-to-understand, downloadable career plan.
