Dr. Sardar Ahmad is a Senior Lecturer (Associate Professor) in accounting. He is a Chartered Accountant and a Fellow of the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (FCCA). Over the years, he has taught a wide range of undergraduate and postgraduate accounting modules and has supervised both PhD and Master’s research. His teaching experience spans both in-person and distance learning within UK Higher Education.
Dr. Ahmad’s research focuses on the impact of financial and non-financial disclosures on firm-level outcomes, with a particular emphasis on corporate governance compliance, ESG reporting and assurance, and market-based accounting research. His work has been published in leading academic journals, including the British Journal of Management, International Review of Financial Analysis, Review of Quantitative Finance and Accounting, and International Journal of Finance and Economics.
He frequently presents his research at prestigious conferences, including the American Accounting Association (AAA), British Accounting and Finance Association (BAFA), European Accounting Association (EAA), and World Finance Conference (WFC).
Dr. Ahmad has successfully supervised PhD students to completion, many of whom now hold faculty positions at renowned international universities, including institutions within the UK’s Russell Group. He is open to supervising new doctoral students.
