Personal Statement

Matt is a lecturer in operations management at the University of Liverpool Management School. Matt has a PhD in operations and supply chain management, with his research being focussed on the market value effects of new product introduction delays for focal companies and suppliers. He holds a distinction in a masters degree in programme and project management and a first class business management bachelors degree with honours. Matt is also an Associate Fellow of the Higher Education Academy (AFHEA). Additionally, he has industry experience of being a finance analyst on a large IT programme.

Matt has several years teaching experience at both postgraduate and undergraduate level on a wide range of modules. He has presented his research at international conferences, including EurOMA and POMS. He is interested in empirical research in the area of operations and supply chain management. In particular, Matt is experienced with quantitative data analysis and has a keen interest in working with secondary data. Matt has been involved in a number of research projects on modern slavery and the sustainability of food supply chains, contributing to publications in top journals.
