About
I am Professor of Strategic Management at the University of Liverpool Management School and Head of the Subject Group of Strategy, IB, and Entrepreneurship. Before joining Liverpool, I was Professor of Strategy & Organization at the University of Groningen, where I also served as Director of the Innovation & Organization Research Program. Previously, I held positions at Universidad Carlos III de Madrid (Associate professor), IE Business School (Part-time) and Boston College (Visiting professor).
My research is placed at the intersection of strategic management, corporate social responsibility, and corporate governance, and is inspired by the desire to further our understanding of the determinants and consequences of firms’ prosocial behavior. My work has appeared in journals like the Academy of Management Journal, Strategic Management Journal, Research Policy, Journal of Business Finance & Accounting, Journal of Banking and Finance, Journal of Business Ethics, European Journal of Operational Research, and Corporate Governance: An International Review.
