Jennifer is a Lecturer in Project Management and also serves as the Director of Studies for the MSc in Project Management programme.
Before transitioning into academia, Jennifer enjoyed a diverse career in the creative industries for 14 years, where she acquired valuable project management skills and experiences in music and fashion. As a musician and vocalist, she collaborated with major labels such as Universal Music and Sony ATV, producing music that has been featured in an array of TV shows on Netflix, Amazon Prime, Sky TV, BBC, Channel 4, MTV, and ABC. Jennifer continues to pursue her love for music, performing with her band, HAARM, which notably provided the official soundtrack for the BT Sport Premier League football coverage in the 2018/2019 season.
In the world of luxury fashion, Jennifer served as the Commercial Director for the fashion label, Nabil Nayal. During her tenure, she successfully negotiated global wholesale contracts with prestigious retailers like Selfridges and Harvey Nichols. Her strategic direction helped the brand become a two-time winner of the British Fashion Council Fashion Trust prize and finalists in the esteemed LVMH Prize in 2017. The brand also attracted a high-profile clientele that included global stars like Rihanna and Lady Gaga.
Jennifer conducted PhD research focused on the impact of disruptive Industry 4.0 technologies, particularly blockchain, and novel tracer technologies on operations and supply chain management. She is deeply interested in artificial intelligence and sustainable supply chain practices (particularly in the fashion industry) and is interested in how new technologies can be used to enhance sustainability in this domain.
