Online Football Industries MBA to kick-start in January 2025

University of Liverpool Management School (ULMS) is set to launch its new Online Football Industries MBA (Online FIMBA) beginning in January 2025. The programme will provide candidates, wherever they are in the globe, with a real business focus that management positions within football and the wider sporting world demand.

Offered part-time over two years, the programme combines the core MBA curriculum created by our world-class faculty, including modules in leadership, managing financial resources and marketing alongside specialist football modules to support students’ holistic development into professionally trained sports executives.

The football-specific curriculum has been designed by academic staff from the School’s Centre for Sports Business, a leading hub for sports business research and practice, who bring expertise and industry experience from sports analytics, economics,  governance and finance.

The on-campus FIMBA programme features in the most recent Top 20 SportBusiness postgraduate rankings and has supported thousands of MBA candidates in achieving their professional goals. It was established over 25 years ago and remains the only MBA in the world dedicated to football.

John Byrom, Associate Dean (MBA), said: “Online FIMBA is created for football and sports-loving professionals who want to pursue a career in the industry or progress into executive roles. This programme transcends location and physical barriers, enabling students to realise their dream career in football or sports management.”
