Management School supports regional business networking event

The Management School, in partnership with the Mersey Dee Alliance, hosted the MDA Innovation Network at a breakfast event at the University’s Ness Gardens.  The event was attended by private and public sector organisations from across Merseyside, Cheshire and North Wales.

As well as an opportunity to network, several businesses exhibited at the event and gave two-minute ‘elevator pitches’ to showcase their organisation.

Professor Andy Lyons, Professor in Operations and Supply Chain Management, welcomed guests on behalf of the Management School, outlining how the School is eager to connect with business, particularly around Knowledge Exchange and exploring opportunities for research or consultancy collaborations.

Jane Purdie, Wrexham County Borough Council, who chaired the event on behalf of the MDA said, “We’re very grateful to the Management School for their support with this event, which is always a fantastic opportunity for local organisations to connect with each other.  Having a mix of private, public and higher education sector representatives attend makes for some really interesting and beneficial discussions.”

Following the event, several guests participated in a tour of the gardens.
