Latest Entrepreneurs Monthly Meet-up with Spice Kitchen celebrates local start-ups
Another really well attended Entrepreneurs Monthly Meet-up hosted by Richard Leighton from the Brett Centre for Entrepreneurship with the founder of Spice Kitchen, Sanjay Aggarwal.
A massive thank you to Sanjay who shared his experiences of setting up and running Spice Kitchen as well as providing invaluable insights for fellow entrepreneurs looking to create and sell new products online - as well as exporting products to new markets.
Sanjay also joined the panel, judging a further six pitches from students at King’s Leadership Academy Hawthornes who were looking to secure funding for their business ideas as part of the Enterprise Education in Secondary Schools programme that the Brett Centre for Entrepreneurship is piloting. The pupils were all pitching for a share of £1,000 in funding, ranging from £250 to £100, to help with their start-up venture.
Congratulations to all the Year 10 students for their hard work and brilliant pitches - we hope the grants help them develop their start-ups. Thanks also goes to the panel of judges, Kelly Millward, Rudy Parengal and Sanjay Aggarwal, for kindly providing the time, scores and feedback to the students.
Commenting on the latest Meet-Up Sanjay said “It was really great to be part of the Entrepreneurs Monthly Meet-up and speak about my entrepreneurship journey and the development of Spice Kitchen. It is always nice to pass on the experience you have gained to hopefully help others save time, energy, and effort as a result of what you’ve learned along the way; it also allows you to reflect on how far you’ve come. It was also brilliant to be part of the panel of judges, to hear from the Year 10 students bravely pitching their start-up ideas in-front of everyone - looks like Liverpool’s entrepreneurial future is very bright."
