The Brett Centre for Entrepreneurship holds third Youth Entrepreneurship Workshop
The Brett Centre for Entrepreneurship held its third and final workshop Influencing Entrepreneurship Policy, hosted by the Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD) in Paris on Wednesday 5 July.
The workshop, attended by over 30 invited participants, was launched by Jonathan Potter and David Halabisky from the OECD SME directorate.
This workshop gathered further state-of-the-art evidence and ideas on youth entrepreneurship policy from leading academics, policymakers and practitioners – who were able to critique the relevance and efficacy of current policies to meet the needs of young people in contemporary society.
Following presentations, delegates participated in a series of feedback sessions that proved to be productive and lively. The workshop culminated in discussions on the top priorities of the government.
Professor Robert Blackburn, Director of the Brett Centre for Entrepreneurship, said "Collectively, the three workshops that took place in Liverpool, London and Paris will feed into a policy paper from the Brett Centre for Entrepreneurship that will be published through the OECD and the University later this year. Ultimately, the aim is to influence government policies on youth and youth entrepreneurship.
