Opening times and student support during the Easter break

Over the festive period, the Management School and the Student Support Office will be closed from Thursday 17 April at 6pm until Tuesday 22 April.

During this time, if you require any support or out-of-hours services and need to contact someone see the important information below:

Library access

During the Easter break, the Sydney Jones Library will be open:

  • 18-21 April, 8am and 10pm
  • 24/7 during the assessment period from Tuesday 22 April to Friday 30 May.

Sport Liverpool

The University’s Sports and Fitness Centre will be closed on Friday 18 April and Monday 21 April due to bank holiday. But if you want to access the sports centre during the weekend, the opening hours are:

  • Saturday: 8am – 3pm
  • Sunday: 9am – 2pm.

Wellbeing Holiday drop-in

Over the Easter break, Student Services will be providing wellbeing sessions for exam stress.

Campus safety:

If you have any concerns about safety over the Easter break, the University offers support and guidance on how to keep yourself, your property and possessions.

Urgent support: 

  • If you require emergency help, please call 999
  • If you are on campus and require immediate assistance, you can call Campus Support on:  0151 794 3252 (43252 from internal phone).

  • If you are staying in University halls, staff can provide help and advice
  • Health Assured offers a 24/7 freephone helpline at 0800 028 3766. Qualified counsellors and advisors are there to help if you need it.

Mental wellbeing

  • If you are experiencing significant mental health difficulties in the Liverpool area that require immediate help, please call the Mersey Care Crisis line on 0800 145 6570
  • Liverpool Light Mental Health Crisis Support  is a preventative out-of-hours mental health crisis service based at 181-185 London Road, Liverpool, L3 8JG. This service provides a safe place if you are experiencing or is at risk of a mental health crisis
  • The Campaign Against Living Miserably (CALM) takes a stand against suicide. Their helpline, web chat and website, will provide you with useful information and support if you need it: 0800 585858
  • Papyrus is the UK Charity for the prevention of young suicide. You can contact HOPELINE 247 on 0800 068 4141
  • If you need urgent mental health support, you can contact Shout by texting SHOUT to 85258 - free of charge from any UK mobile network - and get confidential advice and support straight to your mobile
  • If you need to talk to someone in confidence, Samaritans have a 24-hour phone line which is free to call: 116 123
  • If you are affected by panic attacks, phobias and other anxiety disorders, No Panic can provide help and support on 08449674848
  • If you have lost a loved one, Cruse Bereavement Care is a national charity that offer support, advice and information to children, young people, and adults. You can contact the helpline number on 0808 8081677
  • If you identify as LGBTQ+, you can call the anti-abuse charity, Galop, on 0800 999 5428 for emotional and practical support.

Physical wellbeing

  • If you are feeling unwell, you can contact your GP, or visit a Walk-In Centre or pharmacy. Visit the  NHS pages for information and advice on the available services. If you need help now, but it’s not an emergency, you can visit the NHS 111 online or call 111
  • If you have been sexually assaulted, SAFE Place Merseyside is the Sexual Assault Referral Centre for the Merseyside area (for males and females). For services in other areas of the UK, you can search for support by geographical location.
  • If you, or someone you care about, is experiencing domestic abuse, you can phone The Freephone National Domestic Abuse Helpline, run by Refuge, on 0808 2000 247 at any time, day or night. Staff will offer confidential, non-judgemental information and support
