Students celebrate winning the highly competitive (and fun) trade game!

We recently hosted a ‘Discover Economics Day’ in partnership with Discover Economics and Manchester Metropolitan University.

Part of the Royal Economics Society, Discover Economics is a campaign aiming to increase diversity among economics students.

This event gave students a better understanding of the subject and the careers of professional economists. The talks and interactive games delivered showcased the illustrative applications of economics in a range of contexts.

Speaking on the importance of the day Sam McGloughlin, Senior Campaign Manager for Discover Economics notes:

"This was a much-needed outreach activity for local young people, raising awareness of the amazing and varied opportunities studying economics and the wider social sciences can lead to. We are very grateful to our event partners University of Liverpool and Manchester Metropolitan University for working with Discover Economics to deliver a highly impactful event."
