On 11 and 12 February, the Management School hosted a celebration event for undergraduate students who achieved an average mark of 70% or higher in the 2023-24 academic year.

During the exciting event, students were presented with their certificates from their Director of Studies, had photo opportunities, networked with other students and enjoyed refreshments.

Commenting on the success of the events, Dr Cathy McGouran, Deputy Director of Studies of BA Marketing, said: “It’s so lovely celebrating our students’ success with them and acknowledging all their hard work. I can’t wait to see some of them graduating in July!”

Additionally, Dr Hyacinthe Caldwell, Lecturer in Work, Organisation and Management and Dr Philip Murray, Director of Studies BA Business Management said: “It’s our pleasure to be around our students and celebrate their success. We are proud of them! They are such a lovely bunch of students, very confident about their future as well.”

Students who attended the event remarked on how they appreciated their achievements being recognised and rewarded. BSc Economics student Angela said: “I feel elated to be here with my peers, it’s a very nice achievement, and celebrating it together shows unity and motivates the next batch of students”.

BSc Finance and Data Analytics student, Hsu Pwint Wai Zaw added: “[It was] A great event to celebrate achievements from first year and very delighted to have a chance to reflect on how far I’ve come.”

Following the event, many students took to LinkedIn to share their achievements with their online network.
