Deputy Associate Dean, International visits XJTLU

In November 2024, Deputy Associate Dean, International Dr Ahmed Al-Abdin visited University Xi’an Jiaotong- Liverpool University (XJTLU), with colleagues from across the university. During the visit, he participated in activities to strengthen this important partnership, including meeting with Senior Leadership teams both at XJTLU and the new Taicang campus. He also delivered a public lecture, focused on Brand Activism.
A key part of this visit was to promote our exciting 2+2 and 2+1+1 programmes to students currently based at XJTLU, through lecture shout outs, delivering sessions on student experience and employability opportunities, and at a study abroad fair. Students on the 2+2 pathway, spend their first two years at XJTLU and their final two years in Liverpool. The 2+1+1 programme allows students to spend a year in Liverpool to develop both their academic abilities and entrepreneurial capabilities.
In addition to promoting ways students can study in Liverpool, Dr Al-Abdin met with current University of Liverpool Management School students, studying abroad as part of the Year in China opportunity. BA Marketing student Adam Clark (pictured below), had this to say about his experience so far:
‘The Year in China is a truly special and unique opportunity that everyone at Liverpool University should consider- it has been an unreal experience!’
