MSc International Business alumna, Anakha Dileep Rekha recently featured on the BBC’s North West Tonight to discuss the new Indian Perspectives exhibition at the Victoria Gallery and Museum, (VG&M). This special exhibition explores the experiences of people of Indian heritage living in Britain and is running until 26 April 2025.

In addition to the paintings and drawings on display, a short film was commissioned featuring Anakha and three other University of Liverpool students. Of the three, Harshada Karande (MSc Operations and Supply Chain Management) and Dr Akhil Scaria (Liverpool MBA) are both students of the Management School.

Liverpool is globally recognised as a hub for art, music, sport and culture with the film following our students across the city as they explore their passions, from ballroom dancing to photography.

Commenting on her experience being involved in this project, Anakha notes:

“Sharing my journey in Liverpool and being featured on the BBC is a surreal and humbling experience— I am grateful for the opportunity to share a piece of my culture and music!”
