Management School Graduation December 2024: Everything you need to know

On Tuesday 10 December, we will be celebrating the achievements of the Class of 2024 at graduation receptions at the Lutyens Crypt Hall, Liverpool Metropolitan Cathedral with graduation ceremonies taking place afterwards at Liverpool’s Philharmonic Hall.

On the day there are two Management School graduation celebrations taking place, please be certain of which cluster you belong to:

Cluster one:

  • Department of Accounting and Finance
  • Department of Work, Organisation and Management
  • Department of Operations and Supply Chain Management.
Tuesday 10 December, 11am – 12.30pm Tuesday 10 December, 1pm

Cluster two:

  • Department of Marketing
  • Department of Strategy, International Business and Entrepreneurship
  • Economics
  • MBA programmes.
Tuesday 10 December, 2 – 3.30pm  Tuesday 10 December, 4pm

On the day: Two to three hours before your ceremony

Your graduation gown can be collected from the Sport Liverpool, Bedford Street North. At the same time, you will be able to pick up your ceremony tickets (for you and your guests), along with your certificate and commemorative brochure.

Ahead of your graduation reception and ceremony, depending on your cluster, we ask that you collect your cap and gown at:

Additionally, Ede and Ravenscroft will be in Mountford Hall in the Liverpool Guild of Students from 7am and throughout the day of your ceremony to take your studio portraits.

Once this is completed, depending on the time of your cluster’s ceremony, you can join us at the Lutyens Crypt Hall for a pre-graduation reception alongside your fellow graduands and academics.

On the day: Your graduation reception and ceremony

The Lutyens Crypt Hall can be accessed by Brownlow Hill. The full venue address is Lutyens Crypt Hall, Brownlow Hill, Liverpool L69 3GH.

Each reception will be 90 minutes and will end 30 minutes before your ceremony is due to start. Walking from the Crypt Hall to the Philharmonic Hall takes 10 minutes, you can find the route via the Google Map trail here.ga

When it is your turn to go on stage you will be directed by staff to the side of the stage in a continuous procession. Give your name to the officer at the foot of the ramp and then follow their instructions to proceed across the stage to have your degree conferred.

After being admitted, you should continue to walk across the stage and then go back to your seat as directed by the ushers.

Please note ceremonies will be screened live on campus, in The Stanley Theatre at The Guild as well as being shown live on Achievement TV's YouTube channel "Achievement TV - YouTube".

On the day: After your graduation ceremony

Your gown will need to be returned to the Liverpool Guild of Students, 160 Mount Pleasant, by 6.30pm on the day of your ceremony.

Just because you have graduated doesn’t mean that you’re no longer a part of our University community. We value every single member of our alumni network and want to stay connected in the years to come.

You can also join the ULMS LinkedIn Group to connect with students, alumni and faculty for the latest ULMS news, events, and networking opportunities.

Don’t forget, after 30 days (from your end date or graduation date; whichever is later) you won’t be able to access your University email address, so you need to sign up with an alternative email to avoid missing out.
