On Wednesday 6 November, 15 members from Enactus Liverpool were invited to the Magnit offices in Knutsford for an exclusive Project Development Day.

Magnit are renowned for being a pioneer in workforce management and worked with Enactus Liverpool to explore business model formulation and discussed with experienced coaches what makes an Enactus project successful.

The Magnit team were also on hand to work with Enactus Liverpool to delve deeper into Enactus Liverpool’s two current projects, Project Ruby and Breaking Barriers, to understand their mission, impact and scope. The coaches provided insights and potential suggestions to develop projects and action plans were made to help each project achieve financial sustainability.

Enactus Liverpool’s two transformative projects, Project Ruby and Breaking Barriers both focus on improving the lives of the community in Liverpool. Project Ruby aims to tackle period poverty across Merseyside, with a particular focus on the refugee community. Their second project, Breaking Barriers, is dedicated to reducing educational inequality among primary school students from disadvantaged backgrounds.

Based on the dedication and engagement shown during the exciting day, a total of £500 was awarded to Enactus Liverpool (£250 per project) to drive forward their impact and make developments ahead of the National Competition at London Excel in April 2025.

Commenting on the work of Enactus Liverpool, the Management School’s Chris Barlow said: “Enactus Liverpool, kindly supported by the Management School, continues to grow from strength to strength.

“The enthusiasm and energy directed towards their projects will see them make positive change for their beneficiaries, whilst allowing our incredible students to develop their employability skills, helping them secure placements, internships and highly skilled graduate jobs.”

The team at Enactus Liverpool aren’t stopping here. They have big plans for the rest of the year including members attending the upcoming HSBC Regional Impact Accelerator in November in Birmingham. Here they will have the opportunity to kick start their projects, network with other Enactus Teams across the UK in addition to gain valuable information on funding, collaborate with coaches and more.

Not only this but they are on the lookout for a Tik Tok Content Creator to join their team and are looking to expand their project portfolio to include a STEM-based project.
