Students recently gathered for Enactus Liverpool's welcome event for new and returning students.

Enactus Liverpool is a student society, focused on using business as a catalyst for positive social and environmental impact with many of the key leadership roles including President, Vice President, Finance Director and Project Leader are held by Management School students.

Enactus looks to equip students with the skills and experience to create positive, sustainable change by tackling social issues in their communities and the world. This is done through connecting students with real-world challenges allowing them to contribute towards impactful projects.

Currently, Enactus Liverpool has two transformative projects: Project Ruby and Breaking Barriers. Project Ruby is aimed at tackling period poverty across Merseyside, with a particular focus on the refugee community. Breaking Barriers is dedicated to reducing educational inequality among primary school students from disadvantaged backgrounds.

Anu Gohil, a final-year Business Management student shares how Enactus has influenced her university experience:

“Enactus has truly enriched my university experience, providing a valuable focus beyond my academic studies. I’ve genuinely enjoyed witnessing the positive impact of our projects on the community. As a member of Project Ruby, which aims to alleviate period poverty locally, I find it incredibly rewarding to see how our efforts directly support those in need. Being part of this initiative has deepened my understanding of social issues and highlighted the importance of community engagement.”

Joining a society such as this enables students to develop employability skills such as teamwork, project management, problem-solving, and confidence.
