Finance and Data Analytics programmes named academic partners of CQF Institute

Published on

We are pleased to announce that our BSc Finance and Data Analytics and BSc Finance and Data Analytics with a Year in Industry programmes have been named academic partners of the CQF Institute, the world’s largest professional membership organisation for quantitative finance. The successful application process was led by Bethan Jones-Davies, Accreditation Manager, and Professor Chardin Wese, Director of Studies.

This is a fantastic endorsement for both programmes, which launched in 2023. Being an academic partner to CQF reflects how the modern curriculum is closely linked to professional practice. Studying these programmes, you can expect to combine finance and data analytics, gaining knowledge and skills in areas such as Python programming, computational methods, data mining, data visualisation, machine learning, and financial technology.

Current and future students will benefit from a wealth of resources at the CQF Institute, including leading industry insights through conferences and workshops, networking with industry practitioners and career opportunities. This partnership will enable students to further engage with the quantitative finance industry and develop crucial employability skills that will help them succeed in their future careers.

Sonia Arora, CQF Institute Partnership Manager, Associate Director had this to say;

"We are thrilled to welcome the University of Liverpool's BSc Finance and Data Analytics programmes as academic partners of the CQF Institute. This partnership is a testament to the exceptional work of Bethan Jones-Davies and Professor Chardin Wese and reflects our shared commitment to excellence in the field of quantitative finance.

The programmes focus on critical skills like Python programming and machine learning aligns perfectly with today’s industry needs. We are excited to offer students at the University of Liverpool access to our resources, networking events, and workshops to enhance their educational experience and career readiness.

Congratulations on this milestone. We look forward to a successful and collaborative future."
