Aditi Gupta, MSc Occupational and Organisational Psychology Class of 2022 graduate, recently won big at the University of Liverpool Staff Awards 2024, winning "Apprentice of the Year" for her graduate internship within the Careers & Employability department at the University of Liverpool.

As a recent international graduate, Aditi witnessed first-hand the kind of barriers international students face in securing their first job role in the UK. Her role involved helping international students with their employability journey in the UK (and abroad) post-graduation.

As part of her role, she represented the international student voice and ensured that students had a positive experience using the career service and helped boost their employability for the UK job market. Whether this was searching for employers offering sponsorship visas or finding graduate roles in students home countries, she provided international students and graduates with tailored advice and focused resources to help them navigate their employability journey.

This award recognized her efforts to improve the employability experience for international students at Liverpool, developing the International+ offer at Careers and Employability.

Aditi said, “I am deeply grateful for this acknowledgment and for the incredible support from my team and mentors. This journey has been filled with learning and growth, and I’m excited to continue making a positive impact on the University of Liverpool community.”
