Help To Grow alumni gather for cybersecurity networking event
The Management School invited alumni from the Help to Grow: Management programme to a 'Cyber Resilience Workshop' led by experts from the North West Cyber Resilience Centre, a not-for-profit, police-led partnership providing small businesses with affordable, professional cybersecurity services.
The interactive session covered various modules to support businesses owners in improving their cyber posture such as Phishing, Passwords, Networks, Devices, Malware and Social media.
This is just one of a series of Help to Grow Alumni Network events that take place over the course of the academic year and the aim is to continue supporting SME leaders in reaching their long-term productivity, resilience, growth and innovation goals beyond completion of the Help to Grow Management programme.
The alumni network will also help support participants in implementing their Growth Action Plans, ongoing learning and business development opportunities.
Damian Meyers, (Managing Director, Clan Contracting Ltd) said "The insightful discussions, real-world examples, and expert guidance provided a comprehensive understanding of the complex landscape of digital security. The practical demonstrations and exercises were particularly enlightening, allowing me to grasp the intricacies of cyber defence strategies. I look forward to applying what I've learned to enhance security measures in both my personal and professional spheres.”
Accredited by the Small Business Charter, the 12-week practical programme for SME leaders covers all aspects of management, including finance and strategies for growth and innovation. Participants benefit from 1-1 mentorship and finish the course with a tailored business growth plan, as well as access to an extensive alumni programme and network.
