Management School welcomes Chinese partner, XJLTU international MBA students
University of Liverpool Management School (ULMS) MBA students and alumni attended a networking event alongside International MBA students from Xi’an-Jiaotong Liverpool University (XJTLU) as part of a recent UK study trip.
The networking event develops closer ties between Liverpool MBA students, international MBA students and alumni helping to increase their understanding of working in international markets.
The MBA programme of the International Business School Suzhou at Xi’an-Jiaotong Liverpool University (XJTLU) is a part-time programme for business executives in the southern Jiangsu region in East China. Students work in sectors including manufacturing, pharmaceutical and biotechnology.
Dr Dane Anderton, Director of ULMS MBA Programmes said about the trip, “It’s exciting to see our international MBA and Liverpool MBA students network with our alumni sharing experiences and contacts together. Our Liverpool MBA students and alumni really enjoyed the event and benefited from developing closer ties with our international MBA students.”
Director of the International MBA at International Business School Suzhou, Dr Nuno Camara added, “The visit to ULMS was a highlight in our UK study trip. Our International MBA students work for global companies and are keen to network with Liverpool MBA students as well as alumni.
"Our MBA programmes are all about exchanging experiences and enriching our student's understanding of how business is viewed in different markets. Students graduate with a University of Liverpool MBA, so it is critical that they have a first-hand experience of the Liverpool campus and the city itself.
"Closer working relationships between myself and Dr Dane Anderton mean we share resources to help our students and deepen this special global connection between the two programmes.
"The UK continues to attract a lot of interest from business executives based in China, acting as a real stimulus for innovation and forward-thinking business practice because of its long and highly respected historical and cultural traditions. We are very proud of our association with Liverpool and will continue to bring our students here to build cross-campus connections and bolster future cooperation.”
