Neurodiversity Celebration Week 2023
Neurodiversity Celebration Week is running from Monday 13 - Sunday 19 March and is a worldwide initiative that challenges stereotypes and misconceptions about neurological differences.
Neurodiversity means the full range of human neurology: neurological differences, for example those labelled as Dyspraxia, Dyslexia, ADHD, Autism and Tourette’s Syndrome, should be recognised and respected just like any other human variation.
It aims to transform how neurodivergent individuals are perceived and supported by providing schools, universities, and organisations with the opportunity to recognise the many talents and advantages of being neurodivergent, while creating more inclusive and equitable cultures that celebrate differences and empower every individual.
There are also a number of different resources, guidance, PowerPoint Presentations and social media assets available from Neurodiversity Celebration Week that you can download here.
After the success of last year’s week of events to support this celebration, the Faculty of Health and Life Sciences is excited to again be supporting Neurodiversity Celebration Week and will be leading a number of events to support this celebration that will be open to staff and students across the University.
