Management School Accreditation

Earlier this month, the Association of MBAs announced that current University of Liverpool MBA student, Enoch Opare Mintah, has been announced as the official 60,000th member of the AMBA community. To commemorate the milestone, AMBA have invited Enoch to take part in an exclusive interview for their prestigious ‘The AMBITION Podcast’.

In December 2020, the Management School confirmed its place among the global elite by officially receiving accreditation from the internationally regarded AMBA. The accreditation represents the highest standard of achievement in post-graduate business education as only the top 2% of Business Schools globally are accredited. This is due to the rigorous assessment criteria which ensures that only the highest-calibre programmes that demonstrate the best standards in teaching, curriculum, and student interaction achieve the endorsement.

Since receiving the accreditation over a year ago, all current MBA students and recent MBA alumni of the Management School are invited to join AMBA’s global member community of more than 60,000 students and alumni in more than 150 countries. Additionally, the accreditation enables students and alumni to network internationally, improve career development and provides a variety of other benefits; which comes at no cost to the member.

Being recognised by AMBA isn’t the only achievement that Enoch has received whilst studying at the Management School. In December 2021, Enoch was recognised by the Prime Minister’s ‘Points of Light’ awards programme which identifies outstanding volunteers who make a change in their community. Enoch was identified for the award for creating the ‘Ubuntu’ project which partners schools in the UK with schools in his native Ghana to share virtual lessons promoting cultural understanding.

Enoch said:

"Being celebrated as the 60,000th member of the AMBA and Business Graduates came in as a big surprise. It is humbling to have my professional and study life profiled on this global platform. This opportunity evidences the lead AMBA is showing in promoting diversity and inclusion as a professional body.

“Apart from sharing my story in the podcast, I will be highlighting the rewards of the paradigm shift from the traditional MBA style to the more industry diverse MBA opportunities offered by the University of Liverpool Management School. To the faculty and my MBA colleagues, I say this feat is for us all".

Dane Anderton, Director of ULMS MBA Programmes said:

“AMBA is the highest standard of achievement in postgraduate business education and I am proud that our students are already engaging with and being celebrated by our newest accrediting body.

“Sustainability is becoming ever more significant across our management and business education; Enoch’s recognition as AMBA’s 60,000th member, gives him the chance to contribute to the sustainability agenda and put his work as a CSR and Non-profit professional into AMBA’s prestigious podcast: The AMBITION Podcast’.
