CIM Graduate Gateway status awarded to BA Marketing programme
The Management School’s BA Marketing programme has been re-awarded Graduate Gateway status by the Chartered Institute of Marketing (CIM).
Graduate Gateway status means that after completing the programme, students will receive certain exemptions, reducing the amount of assessments required to gain a CIM qualification.
For the Level 4 Certificate in Professional Marketing students do not need to take the Applied Marketing and Planning Campaigns modules. They will also receive exemptions from the Marketing and Digital strategy module for the Level 6 Diploma in Professional Marketing or CIM Diploma in Professional Digital Marketing.
Exemptions can be taken advantage of for up to five years after graduation.
Dr Ahmed Al-Abdin, Director of Studies BA Marketing, said “Our BA Marketing programmes (BA Marketing and BA Marketing with a year in industry) have exceptional links with industry and employability stats to match. For instance, 95% go on to work and / or study within 15 months after the course (DiscoverUni)."
“Our graduates acquire a plethora of skills which are highly desired by employers in a competitive landscape. Furthering links with professional bodies such as the CIM underscores and acts as further evidence of the practical relevance of the marketing degree."
“The BA Marketing and BA Marketing with a year in Industry courses are predicated on a staff-student partnership and involve a whirlpool of research led teaching from our excellent team of Marketing academics along with a variety of authentic modes of assessment, which are directly applicable and transferable to the future career trajectories of our students. We are thrilled to further our partnership with the CIM and pleased that they have acknowledged the reaccreditation of our marketing courses.”
