Management School Academics Attend Westminster International Recruitment Webinar
Management School academics recently joined a panel discussion, hosted by Westminster International Education, to provide an overview of MSc Marketing and MSc Business Analytics to prospective students in Thailand.
Westminster International is a UK Education Advisory Agent representing over 100 Universities, colleges, and language schools across the UK. Their mission is to ‘create a smooth journey to university for international students’ by providing support to students and insights into the UK higher education market.
Dr Treasa Kearney, Director of Studies for MSc Marketing, Dr Fotis Misopoulos, Associate Professor MSc Operations and Supply Chain Management, and Tracey Tee, Regional Development Manager responsible for the Thailand market, took part in the live webinars.
Representatives answered questions on a variety of subjects and provided more information about the structure of the academic year for international students, as well as standout features of the School’s MSc programmes.
Dr Kearney said: “These sessions allow students to find out more about the Liverpool student experience and what we offer in relation to PG student support and career opportunities. Students are able to make a better-informed choice of course and university, and also challenge their preconceptions about studying in the UK.”
The School’s ability to communicate with the International market is vital, and virtual events such as these have enabled our academics to engage with the overseas prospective students in the midst of the current pandemic. Dr Fotis Misopoulos said how this was “a great opportunity for us to promote the Management School” and that “great emphasis was given to the support our students are receiving in our school including accreditations, facilities, extracurricular activities, research-led teaching and employability.”
