On your marks, get set, BOOMF!
In support of the University’s work with SMEs and harnessing corporate connections, Hannah Kennedy, Head of Marketing at BOOMF, recently visited the Management School to deliver a guest speaker session.
The session took place as part of the MKIB363 Marketing Strategy module, led by Dr. Ahmed Al-Abdin & Ms Victoria McCall, which is taken by final year marketing students.
BOOMF is a UK company that specialises in gifts for special occasions. During her inspiring talk, Hannah gave detailed insight into the organisation’s marketing strategy and outlined a number of innovative and creative practical marketing techniques. The students enjoyed the session and commented that they found it exceptionally useful as it allowed them to make significant connections between theory and practice.
After the session, students had the opportunity to attend an informal networking session with Hannah where they were able to obtain industry advice and discuss career planning post-graduation.
Hannah commented, "The University of Liverpool Management Department is a pleasure to work with, their passion for what they do shines through and they are clearly leading the way in how they approach teaching in a newly digitalised world."
"The efforts Ahmed and Victoria put into their work are apparent in the student's respect for them. The students are motivated, eager to learn and ask inquisitive questions. The department on a whole (both lecturers and students) are an asset to the University of Liverpool."
