MBA students attend formal networking dinner
MBA students were invited to attend a formal networking dinner on Wednesday 13th March.
Attendees, which included MBA students, teaching staff, alumni and members of the local business community, were welcomed by the Dean of the Management School, Professor Julia Balogun.
Tom Carter, Area Director at HSBC Commercial Banking, also gave a talk which focused on the importance of networking and how to carry it out effectively.
The event gave students an opportunity to develop their own business contacts and also allowed them to apply the networking skills they have developed throughout their MBA studies.
Elizabeth Maitland, Associate Dean MBA, said “Our students received lots of feedback and gained new contacts from the industry and university guests that were present. There was a real buzz in the room and it was clear people were making genuine connections and enjoying each other’s company.”
