Management School launches Liverpool start-up competition
The Management School has launched its own business competition which will take place from 1st October-20th November 2018.
The competition is open to undergraduate students of any discipline from across the University and will run in three stages, consisting of various tasks such as a PowerPoint Pitch Deck, a pitch video, financial planning and a marketing campaign. The final stage will include the six highest voted teams from the previous rounds who will be required to pitch in front of a live audience at The Shankly Hotel.
The teams will be split into two categories - commercial and social - with a winning team for each. Winning teams will receive a number of prizes including £5,000 from Santander to get their business idea off the ground, six months co-working desk membership at Signature Works, a meet and greet with Laurence Kenwright to discuss business plans, half a day of PR strategy with Pink Media, accountancy support from BWM Chartered Accountants and potential investment from The Start Up Funding Club.

With the support of external organisations we’ve created a bespoke business support package for the winners. We hope to find exciting, innovative and interdisciplinary student business ideas which can really excel from taking part.”
