John Galas visits Management School to talk to FIMBA cohort
John Galas, Head Coach and Sporting Director at Lane United FC, recently visited the Management School to talk to students on the Football Industries MBA programme (FIMBA).
John started by telling students about his background in coaching in America before he moved to the UK to study the FIMBA programme. John was the first American to study our football MBA and interned for Liverpool FC whilst he was here. After completing his studies, he founded a football club in Oregon using the knowledge he had learnt as well as his past experience of working in the football industry which he said helped to shape his vision for the club.
John also spoke about the successes of some of the other people in his class and highlighted to students the importance of making the most of the international alumni network created by the MBA programmes.
After his talk there was an informal networking session where students could ask John questions about his experience in the sporting industry.
