ULMS Extra covers Life Skills
As part of ULMS Extra Laura Hill, Alumni Relations Officer, delivered a ‘Life Skills’ session to undergraduate students today.
The session’s aim was to help students prepare for life after graduation and covered common worries, budgeting (salary, pensions and student loan repayments), relocating and working overseas. Laura also shared advice from recent graduates, gave detailed information about post graduate study options and explained the range of services the University offers after graduation.
The session ended with Laura encouraging students to develop professionally by engaging with resource providers, such as Liverpool Connect and the Careers Service, and extending their networks by attending events and contributing relevant content on social media.
Speaking about the session Laura commented, “Whilst life after graduation can feel a long way off, students can ensure they maximise their opportunities by planning early and making the most of the support and guidance available to them.”
