Masters student wins National Social Enterprise Award

Wellbeing Enterprise CIC,a social enterprise, co-founded by current MSc entrepreneurship student, Mark Swift has won the Health & Social Care award at the UK Social Enterprise Awards. The Awards were held at the Grand Connaught Rooms in London on the 28 November 2016.

The company aims to support people to achieve happier, healthier and longer lives. They do this by connecting people to assets in the community and supporting people to rediscover the strengths and capabilities. Over the organisations 11 year history they have supported more than 20,000 people to make measurable improvements in their health and wellbeing.

The national competition recognises excellence and outstanding achievements by social enterprises – businesses that reinvest their profits for good, benefitting people and planet.

Mark Swift, Founder and CEO said “We’re delighted to be recognised for our work across the UK supporting people to bolster their wellbeing in the face of growing adversity in our communities. We accept this award on behalf of all the staff, volunteers and beneficiaries who have helped us to work towards our social mission for the last 11 years”.
