Leadership futures for our Business Studies students
The first BA Business Studies programme event on 'Leadership Futures’ took place this week. Guest speakers Dr Paul Redmond (Liverpool Career and Employability Service), Emma King (Unilever) and Allison Bacher (Quantum of Value) presented on the meaning and significance of effective leadership, sharing personal experiences and offering advice to students on developing leadership careers.
The Director of Studies for the programme, Dr Gary Brown, commented, ‘we know that effective leadership is critical to organisational success, but it is often poorly understood. The presentations given by Paul, Emma and Allison highlighted the complexities of leading individuals and teams in 21st Century organisations. They also provided students with invaluable guidance on becoming industry leaders. A great way to start the Leadership Futures series!’
