Class of 2021 graduate Munirat Sanni is on GSK’s HR Future Leaders Programme.
How did you find transitioning from student to new graduate?
As I did a placement year, the transition to becoming a new graduate was not as big as it was for my placement. The main thing I had to get used to was working 9am - 5pm and having to communicate with people who are more experienced and older than me.
What was the application process like at GSK? How did your time with ULMS prepare you for your current role?
The application process was quite standard - there were some psychometric tests, a video interview and an assessment centre. My course had a Placement Preparation module in the first year, which helped me gain my role as I learnt the process of applying to jobs and it helped me with my cover letter and psychometric test skills.
Whilst studying, I completed a placement year, which gave me experience that looked great on my CV and helped me get through to the assessment centre stage of the recruitment process.
