Ford Prize for Women in STEM study

The prize is awarded to a female student about to enter her first year of a STEM degree, who can demonstrate how they are inspiring the next generation of scientists, engineers and technologists. Do you help run extra-curricular STEM clubs within Primary Schools? Provide STEM leadership in young people’s organisations such as Scouts or Guides? To be eligible to win entrants must live in or attend school/college within 20 miles of Bridgend Plant, within 10 miles of Daventry Plant, within 10 miles of Southampton facilities, or part of Essex. Jocelyn Bell Burnell Medal and Prize

The medal and prize is awarded annually to a woman who is within five years of the award of her first degree in physics (Bachelor's or Master's), not including career breaks, and is either working as a physicist or is engaged in postgraduate study in physics. The Jocelyn Bell Burnell Medal and Prize seeks to recognise the outstanding work of women embarking on a career in physics and to promote the career opportunities open to people with physics qualifications. The Royal Society

Rosalind Franklin Award

The Royal Society Rosalind Franklin Award and Lecture is awarded for a project to promote women in STEM by an individual with an established track record of very high standing in any area of STEM. The award is supported by the Department for Business, Energy and Industrial Strategy (BEIS) and is named in honour of the biophysicist Rosalind Franklin, who made critical contributions to the understanding of the fine molecular structures of DNA. The lectureship is accompanied by a medal of silver gilt, a grant of £40,000 and a gift of £1,000.The recipient of the award is expected to spend a proportion of the grant on implementing a project to raise the profile of women in STEM.
