Alexei Sayle in conversation with Professor Louise Kenny
Catch-up
Alexei Sayle is an English stand-up comedian, actor, author and former recording artist who was a central figure in the British alternative comedy movement in the 1980s. Born in Liverpool, his characteristically political and energetic style led to a hugely successful 40-year career. Most recently he has been developing a series of dramatised short stories for Radio 4 and next year he will be doing another series of Imaginary Sandwich Bar.
In this talk, he will chat with Executive Pro-Vice-Chancellor, Professor Louise Kenny, about how his career has had a ‘second wind’, just as he was gearing up to some kind of retirement.
