Over 5 million UK editions of her work have been sold and translated into 31 languages. Adele’s novel The Image of You has just been released as a major motion movie and she has several other titles optioned and in development including One Last Secret and Both of You. Her latest novel, First Wife’s Shadow, was released in July to critical acclaim. Described by TM Logan as a “twisting tale of deceit, desire and dangerous obsession guaranteed to keep you turning the pages”, we are pleased to welcome Adele back to the Liverpool Literary Festival where she’ll discuss First Wife’s Shadow, with her husband, Jim.
Adele is an ambassador of the National Literacy Trust and the Reading Agency: two charities that promote literacy in the UK. Adele has lived in Botswana, Italy and London and is now settled in Guildford, Surrey. In 2022 she was awarded an MBE for services to literature.
