About
I am a Lecturer in Psychology focusing on Dental Education. My research and practise is focused on the strategies that underpin success within undergraduate studies. I investigate these from a self-regulated learning perspective and particularly have an interest in the appraisal and planning phases of self-regulation. Much of my recent work has focused on how students integrate messages from feedback, how this supports confidence, or self-efficacy, and how together these understandings support goals that students hold. Alongside this, I have a keen interest in psychometric measurement and how this can contribute to understanding student development.
