Destination Medicine
A degree in medicine can lead to some of the most rewarding and challenging, lifelong career opportunities. Here we train doctors who are both outstanding in their clinical skills and caring towards their patients.
Our Destination Medicine summer school invites Year 12 students who are seriously considering applying to study medicine to the University. The programme is open to students from a widening participation background.
Over three days packed with activities, students learn application and interview techniques, practise clinical skills including suturing and visit a local hospital. This gives students an insight into each aspect of life as a medical student, from the lecture theatre to a clinical setting, working alongside qualified medical professionals.
