Timeline
- 2005: NUS LGB lobby Parliament on Goods and Services legislation. In April the campaign changes its name to become the NUS LGBT Campaign.
- 2006: The University adopts a new comprehensive Diversity & Equality of Opportunity Policy.
- 2007: Discrimination in the provision of goods and services on the grounds of sexual orientation is made illegal. October - The University approves a Sexual Orientation Statement and Action Plan. These cover both staff and students.
- 2009: The first Staff Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual and Trans Network is established. The University becomes a Stonewall Diversity Champion and enters the Workplace Equality Index for the first time.
